It's been a while since I used the sound editor.  Forgot to choose line-in before I started to record.  Now I can't get the line-in option -- its stuck on stereo mix.  Uninstalled & re-installed the program.  Computer says my sound card is fine.  It evidently do blow out my right computer speaker though.  Hope someone can give me some help, I don't know what to do except forget using the program & buying a new speaker.

If you can't select Line In there could be something wrong with the sound card drivers - uninstall those and reboot and see if Windows will re-install and fix it
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed
