burn dvd problens

sad.gif please help me.. i'm using emc 9. os is windows xp.. my poblem is i cannot burn dvds-- no led lights. to go around this i copy with the image file to make dvds

Your post is very unclear on what you are doing or is happening. The more description/explanation of what you are doing the easier it will be to offer help.

Do you use myDVD to create the iso image file and then use DiscCopier to burn the image file to DVD? What happens then?

sorry to all...
my dvd 9 does not work it does not permit mee to burn dvd. whenever i burn dvds i just get the message and movie that it is burning but no light in my laptop to signify that the cd drive is burning the disc - very perplexing.to burn the dvd i use the iso image using disc copier to burnng the iso image to dvd discs. i tried othher copier programs and it works shoing thatthe drive cd is working fine. any suggestions?

Are you trying to burn a DVD or CD? It is hard to tell from your posts.

Do you have a DVD burner? Does Roxio recognize the burner? Have you updated the firmware for it?

First, you need to find what burner you have, then go to the HP site, and see if they have a firmware update for you. If not, you can go to the manufacturer's website to see if there is an updated firmware.

i tried hp chat and we tried reinstalling my cd/dvd drive but it still remains the same so they concluded that roxio was the problem. wgat 2 do?

Re-installing, wont update the firmware.
