Loading EMC productions in EMC 9 used to work and now it does not.  EMC 9 would at least apologize for the error before having to shut down, but now it just crashes without even trying, without a word of warning.  How rude! wink.gif

Anybody been through this?

I have an HP Media Center PC m1070n
520 Intel Pent 4 processor
512 M DDR SDRAM memory
160 CB hard drive
ATI Radeon x300 SE PCI-E graphics card
and I don't know what else to add.

Windows XP...  hmmm, what else.

EMC 7 worked just fine on the same system.  I upgraded because I understood that EMC 9 was faster with more options.  I also understood that my current system was enough for the software.  I want to believe that I made the right choice in upgrading, but these little issues are distressing.

Please help ASAP.

Thanks,

Goldie

Windows XP...  hmmm, what else.  Vista, W2K, 2003 also come to mind???

Check for an Update to your video drivers, then go to Add/Remove Programs and select Roxio. Use the Repair option.

If no change use the Clean Install method, Here.

The title you put on this topic reads "Can't open/edit EMC7 Video Wave productions in EMC9".

Basically, v7 productions are not compatible with v9 unless all they contain is images or videos (this also sometimes will not work). If you added transitions, spec effects, pan & zoom, etc, they aren't usable then.

So are these productions you can't open ones you made in v7, or ones you made in v9 also?
