Hi - I just tried updating EMC9 to 9.1 and I went to download the patch from a link someone gave me here. When it reinstalled, I now get a message saying "certificate file is missing or has been corrupted. Please re-install it." I have no idea what this means or how to fix it!! Please help me. Thanks.

Thanks. I tried going to that page to uninstall but the website was having problems. I am freaking out!! So far, I have uninstalled the program using the disc it came with and I am currently reinstalling it (NO PATCH). I will be happy to get back what I used to have. I should have known not to fool with anything since I am computer illiterate. I am hoping the reinstallation will work and I will have the program up and running again. I will probably be bothering you all again if I have problems!! Thanks again.

It's no bother at all. I hope you get up and running with EMC 9.0 again.

I am up and running from what I can tell. Thank goodness!! I won't be trying to download the patch again anytime soon. I have never had problems with the installation of EMC9 and have been very happy with what I can do with the program. I always see the horror stories on this board of people uninstalling and reinstalling so I got nervous thinking that could be me!! Thankfully, I think I fixed my problem, however, I am still back where I started without the update. Oh well. I thank you all for your continued support through all of this!!

I am glad to see you up and running, but you may have been okay if you would have waited a bit to see if the website to be cleared of the problems it was experience.
I have XP, and I didn't bother installing the 9.1 patch. I know it didn't fix a few glitches that are annoying for me, but I can work around them.
