Hello all!

I hope that someone can shed some light on this problem. I have googled, and searched, and still can't find any answers.

Ok, so i am building a DVD from a recent theatrical production i was in.

Using MyDVD along with VideoWave9.

I have everything ready to burn, but this system i have been using doesnt have a burner so i am saving an ISO image to my portable 250Gig Harddrive.

I am using the 8.5DL disc size, and Fit to disk quality setting. When i go to burn (create the image) everything starts fine, but when i look at the Encoding preview window, i notice that the video has what look like bright green and purple scanlines (they move and shift as the people in the video move and shift).

Now this is only in the encoding preview, so i dont know if it is an output limitation on my video card (i have an ATI Radeon X600 according to dxdiag).

Does anyone know if what i see in the preview is what i will see on the dvd once it is burned?
before "burning" this DVD, i had dropped the quality to the lowest setting (Very long play?) and burned it to see what the quality difference would be on different TVs, and i didnt see any of the green/purple issues during encoding that i see now.

Any insight and/or help would be greatly appreciated.

Here is my system info:

Tools – Options – Software Render.

Now try it.

I would make a test production by cutting it to 15 minutes length and burning it onto a DVD RW disc. If that proves OK, then go for the DL.

Thanks alot for the info James. I will definitely give that a try.

Fortunately for me, it seems that the glitches only occured in the preview and not in the final product. I was able to mount the iso to a virtual drive on this PC and it worked great.... so far i havent watched it all the way through yet.

Again thanks for the response. I had a feeling it might be due to an overlay issue with the hardware rendering, but didnt know for sure.
