Hello i just bought MD9. I have a jvc GR-D35OU digital video camera. It is hooked up via firewire. The ploblem is the video capture screen there is no drop down for my camcorder. It shows nothing. When i hook the camera to the computer via firewire you say its suppose to beep and a littl camcorder is suppose to pop up in the lower corner but it doesn't. pleasssse help

Also best to connect the camcorder to AC power. Wouldn't want the baterry to go dead during a capture either. Here is the order I normally use:Turn on computer and let it boot
Connect camcorder to AC power
Then connect to PC with firewire
Turn the camcorder ON to VCR mode or Playback mode (depends on brand/model what they call it)
Important - WAIT for Windows to recognize the camcorder. You should here a Windows sound and a small camcorder icon in the system tray.
If you do NOT hear or see the icon, then there might be a connection problem or a firewire driver problem.
If your system does recognize the camcorder, Then and only then run Media Import 9 and the camcorder should show uup in the Video cature list.
