I tried to convert some MCE recorded files and it appeared to work fine but when I try to play the mp4 files I get the "error -2041: an invalid sample description was found in movie." Any ideas? Is this program really worth $30?

I am having exactly the same problem; purchased & downloaded a copy through Roxio, and it appears to convert shows just fine but when I try to play them in QuickTime I get the "error -2041: an invalid sample description was found in movie." popup window. Can someone help with this, please? Thanks.
