I had a quick question if anyone can give guidance.  I am using Videowave 9.0 and am trying to figure out if there is a way to do multiple pictures (fade-in/fade outs and or motion same way) on one frame.  Best way I can describe it is an example I've seen on 911 tributes in flash.....

this is ONLY an example of what I'm trying to do with overlays in Videowave.  Is there a way??  Any help appreciated.  Thanks.

I don't know what you mean by "multiple pictures (fade-in/fade outs and or motion same way) on one frame". Fade in and fade out between still images can be done:

1) To fade in - insert a black color panel followed by a Dissolve transition before a still image
2) To fade out - insert a Dissolve transition followed by a black color panel after a still image

Looking at the first video (IMAGINE), I think you are referring to transition. Just insert a Dissolve transition between two images. Adjust the duration of that transition to your satisfaction.

Which one of the tributes, looks like there are dozens.
Look at the American spirit.  That consists of a transparent overlay across the bottom of the screen and a slide show overlay on the left.  If this is what you want to do then yes, it can be done.  I believe the easiest way is to create the slide show and output it as an mpg2 file .  Put the main image on the main track and Set it for as long as you want it to display, add the transparent overlay (I'm not sure it adds much) and then add the mpg2 file as an overlay; resize it and move it to where you want it.

Just out of curiosity, how would you make the mpeg-2 file move towards you like that?? Is there a way to create that effect in a slideshow??

You could try this: add your slide as an overlay, downsize it and position where you want it, and then use the overlay Motion commands to make it appear as though it is coming toward you and then fade out.

Procedure would be: Add overlay, resize, click on the little red ball in the overlay settings panel, then choose Start Path > Fly > Zoom and Fade In. Then choose End Path >  Still > Fade Out.

Cool, thanks Karri. I will try it for fun!
