I built a wonderful project in videowave, with a custom background throughout. However, I did not want to use a menu - I just want the show to run. So I reentered everything into DVD builder with a "no-menu" setting. Now I cannot figure out how to add the background image. There isn't an option under "project settings" like there is in video wave. Any suggestions?

You were on the right track to begin with by building your project in VideoWave. Using the VW type editing thru MyDVD (It's not DVD Builder btw in this version) has some limitations.
Hopefully you still have your Videowave project saved. If it is, and you're all done making changes to it, then open MyDVD, start a new "No Menu" project, choose the Add New Movie function, find your VideoWave project and select it as the movie to add.

Out of curiosity,are you working in V10 or V9? 
Your title would indicate your using V10 but since your posting in V9, I'm confused.
