Is there anything in EMC9 that directs the camera output (live) via the firewire connection, to a laptop connected to an LCD projector.  I'm going to be providing a training class, and want to be able to switch between the live camera output and other training materials located on the PC.
Does anyone know of an application that does this, if EMC9 doesn't provide a utility/tool?

Thanks in advance,
Michael

Being able to do that is a function of your video card or other hardware.  It isn't a software function.

You need something like WebcamDV.  Software that turns any camcorder into a webcam via firewire.  That software will display live images from the camcorder via firewire.

As Bruce stated, the projector would be connected to the laptop's video output. You would need to switch between your other presentation software and the live cam software.
Phenom X4 965 3.4Ghz, 4gig DDR3, LG 47" 3D TV, Hitachi 1TB HD, Seagate 500GB, LiteOn iHBS112 Bluray, TSSTCorp SH-222A DVD, ATI HD3300 IGP, VIA HiDef audio with Logitech Z5500 THX certified 5.1 speakers, Epson 4490 scanner, Canon 9000Pro MarkII printer, Sharp AL1551CS laser printer/copier, Sony TRV740 8mm digital, Canon HV20 HDV camcorder and Fuji S7000 for still photos, Win7 Home Premium

The info about the output to the projector was background info - the information like WebCamDV was what I wanted - thanks

I think WebcamDV is more like a device driver. You may need something else to display the video.  Looks like you could use something like Yahoo Messenger with it.  Try searching the net. I found several other options with Google.
