At the risk of teaching my grandmother etc. etc.
Unless you absolutely, positively have to insert all the info provided for in Label Creator, how about :
Ridiculously Easy Jewel Case Insert, one side, creation method :
1. Open Paint (surely you have Paint)
2. Image / Attributes - set to 12cms x 12cms
3. Edit / Paste From - (import your picture or indulge your creativity in this area)
4. Save - (BMP prints better than JPG, which loses some quality)
5. Print
ENSURE printer settings agree with proposed output
Irfanview is useful to print these things, because the print preview is good; selecting File / Print brings up preview window
Select Print Size Custom button - (NOT original size from image DPI)
Fill in 12 cms width and height and check the Units cm button at the bottom
It tells you resulting image size - 12cms x 12cms (or 4.7 x 4.7 inches) and it's true too
Perfect Jewel Case Insert every time (works for me anyway - can't be bothered to mess around with Label Creator for basic inserts.)
Repeat procedure if you still use those old thick disc cases and want to put something on the back
[ DVD Cases - 27cms x 18cms including spine for the whole shebang, or 12.5cms x 18cms for one side, is about right -
measure your own, if in doubt ]

So pete
All well and good but do you have the CUT Lines, that I can not seem to keep from one label to the next as I use to with the older version?
Can you load up the old defaults each time or do you have to go thru the process to select the size etc? seems like a lot of extra work when you have already paid for it to work with Roxio........

Personally, I find creating basic labels from within EMC9 to be pretty quick and easy. It only gets complicated when and if we decide to do more complicated and customized things.
But then I've been using various versions of label creator all the way back to version 3 . . . .

Hi All
Agreed - Label Creator is a fine program and I do happily use it.
As for Cut Lines, never found it a problem, as the output is the correct size; yes, it may be a pain to load up each time - but like everything done on a regular basis, it's a doddle.
Just couldn't understand why the person who started the topic was getting so upset, when there are plenty of ways to do something this simple.

It is possible to use earlier versions of Label Creator (if you have them) as a stand-alone application if you don't like the more recent versions, especially if the newer versions don't have your favorite styles.
e.g. Just copy the Label Creator folder and the two folders under it (Page Files and Style Files) from your version 5 backup into a folder on your XP system. Then make a desktop shortcut to cdlabel.exe and you're in business.
I still have CD Jewel from ECDC 4 working well in XP.
Regards,
Brendon

I like the idea of Replacing the Image etc, I use it every day as I have earlier versions for several years. my two problems with the New version 9 label Creator is
1. the check box for printing cut lines, does NOT stay checked. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, started over, saved it and retrieved it and it will alway be blank and will NOT stay checked no matter how much I threaten it or swear at it.
2. I use to have to only enter the Data for ONE edge and the oppostie edge would automatically use the same data, not any more, I find myself having to type the duplicate data for bothe edges..... I know I know, well Hell if it was no big deal to you all, then go back to a 300bps acoustic modem, you get spoiled with something that has worked on earlier versions and doesn't now.
