Hi-

Brand-new iMac 24 in place here. My first DVD (DL) burn from Toast just failed. I got two error messages which appear to have occurred towards the end of the write:

Sense Key = HARDWARE ERROR
Sense code = 0x44, 0xD9
INTERNAL TARGET FAILURE

Sense Key = MEDIUM ERROR
Sense Code = 0x57
UNABLE TO RECOVER TABLE-OF-CONTENTS

Can someone help me understand these in terms of what happened?

Use only Verbatim DVD+R DL media. Other brands often aren't well supported by the firmware of drives.
