Where is sound editor?

I know I used sound editor with the Roxio Creator 8.2 XE. I know I used it because I pop in a CD for one specific piece of music to cut down so it can be used for skating. Now I cannot for the life of me find it. I am reading and re reading the book and it is not where it is suppose to be. Is it somewhere else the book is not telling me? I really need to find it.
Do I need to uninstall and reinstall the program? I now I saw this and do not remember the book telling to go where it says I am suppose to go. It is not in the applications. Unless it did not come with sound editor or it was a limited usage. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

You have a cut-down OEM version (bundled with a computer, drive or something).
It probably does not have Sound Editor, check with the OEM supplier.

What is OEM? If the disc I had, had it? Then why did it disappear afterwards? Can I find it on the disc I used to install it with? Or do I need to install it from Roxio? I have dial up so downloading is next to impossible. Anywhere else I can get it from for free? Thanks for getting back to me on this one. I guess I will look elsewhere for a free program. I thought when I bought it it was complete. O well.

This explains OEM ( http://kb.roxio.com/content/kb/General%20I...mation/000036GN ).
In your case, the XE version sounds like a Mad Dog burner one.
If Mad Dog included the sound editor with their version it should be on the installation disc.

I did get the Roxio Creator with Mad Dog. So, do I uninstall and reinstall? I hit repair on the system and will reboot but still confused as to why it disapppeared. Why would it disappear? Should I call Mad Dog instead of Roxio? Totally confusion. Thanks for the help.

depending on what you have available you can get to it 2 ways.
One is in the Home application.Hit Home,Applications and you should see it in the list.
Second, try Start,All Programs,Roxio EMC8,Audio and it will be in the list.
If it's not in either place you need to talk to Mad Dog as they supply support for their OEM version.

Thanks everyone for the help, but I have given up with Roxio. I am on a fixed income and cannot afford the luxuries of what buying a burning program is for. If they are going to give it to you then they should give you the items and tools to use it properly with. I feel cheated and robbed by Roxio. I did what they told me to do by uninstalling and reinstalling the program. I know and am not loosing my mind when I say I did use a program similiar to sound editor. I cannot find the editor anywhere on the disc that was given to me. I may try to use windows system and see if that works. If not, then I give up and will look elsewhere for a free burning program that has the editor on it. It was fun while it lasted. But Roxio is in it for themselves.

As already stated, Mad Dog provides ALL support for their OEM version, Roxio has not robbed you.
