Hi Everyone - I really don't know where to begin. I bought EMC9 about 7 months or so ago and cannot believe how much I have learned from all of you here. I orginally bought the product just to take the small video clips I capture on my digital camera and get them onto a dvd (I have 2 small girls and wanted to make sure all their milestones could be played for the whole family). Little did I know then, but if that is all I wanted to do, I could have just used the Sonic software that came with my computer.
Nonetheless, I bought the software, installed it myself, and immediately burned my first DVD from the clips on my digital camera. It wasn't until I started reading the manual (which wasn't much help) to then finding these boards (which was a godsend), that I realized I could incorporate pictures, video, transitions, effects, music, etc. I also was able to import video from my video camcorder into my dvd productions. I just can't thank you all enough for all the help, support, and guidance you have given me in becoming quite proficient using this software. Once you get past all the technical problems that exist with it, and it's up and running as it should be, it is truly a great product.
When my software recently crashed on me last week and I kept receiving the MPEG-2 codec message after attempting to update to 9.1, you were all there to help me. A very special thanks to Grandpa Bruce who had to suffer through countless PMs in regards to my problem. And then ofcourse there is my "hero", Beerman, who actual sat on the phone with me to help me do the clean install since I had NO IDEA how to do it and needed some support. I finally have the software up and running again and it is all thanks to you wonderful people here who give advice and help us through without ever expecting anything in return. I hope one day I can be as knowledgeable about the software and "pay it forward" as they say, in helping other people. The people on these boards make me realize there are still decent human beings out there willing to help others just to help!! Thanks again!! You are all truly the best!!

Aw shucks! Thank you for those kinds words but hero I'm not. You know more than you think and just needed some company for assurance. I really enjoyed talking with you too.
And, I especially like the 'pay it forward' idea. It's what got me started (though many may wish I never did).
