I initially bought and downloaded this "upgrade" to improve my editing. The program that came with the computer recognizes both the photo and video aspects of my Canon DC20.  The "upgrade" only recognizes the photo. I am unable to download the video because it claims there is no device connected!!!  I have been unable to get the Roxio help people to assist me. I am truly regretting the money I expended.  Can anyone assist me because I am on the verge of purchasing something completely different?

That's because you have connected your video camera, to your hard drive, using a USB cable, which can't be used for capturing video.

Does that video camera record video on a miniDVD?  If so, you don't capture at all.  Simply finalize the miniDVD, make a folder on your hard drive, and copy the contents of the DVD to that folder.

Open VideoWave, click on Add Photo/Video, browse to the movie file, in the folder you made, and bring in the .vob files for editing.
Life is good!
