Backed up with Roxie, but I think I know what the problem is. I chose to restore to a folder, rather than the original site, because my operating system has changed.I wanted to browse the files to see if there was anything I wanted to retrieve. All I see is 91 files labled mo-cdufa.!!!

Backup files normally have to be retrieved up with the application that backed them up in the first place. Roxio Backup, BackupMyPC, etc. The only way to just read th files is if when you created them, you just did a data CD/DVD.
Also depending upon the software, data backed up with older versions may not be able to be read by the newer versions. That is true of Backup MyPC. The compression algorithm was changed between version 4 and 5. Version 5 can not read version 4 backups.
