A friend of mine downloaded a recent concert for me on a torrent site and all the songs are in "Flac."  While Roxio will play this type of file, I was wondering if there was a way for it to convert it to MP3 so that I can listen in my car?

For starters, you'll need to have the flac codec installed on your system (just google it and you can download it for free). Sound Editor will both play it and convert it to many other formats. Music Disc Creator will do much the same.
Or, download the free VLC Media Player and as long as you have the correct codecs, it'll play just about anything.
