I've been experimenting all day with TTG since it was finally enabled for Series 3 units. TiVo is running 9.2. Everything seems to be working except for 1080i recordings. When I transfer them over and attempt to play them in the Toast Video Player, they seem to play at about 2x speed. If I export them to iPod, they play at normal speed but the audio and video is out of sync. I haven't tried burning to DVD yet. I've seen this with every 1080i recording I try; 720p and SD recordings play and export fine.
Has anyone else seen this issue yet? I've seen the thread on how 9.1/9.2 partially breaks Toast 8. I wonder if this is a related bug.

Just to update:
I am NOT seeing this problem when using TiVoDecode Manager and VLC. That leads me to believe it's definitely a problem with Toast. Can anyone confirm?

I'm experiencing the same issue as described by stoli412. I have not found a successful workaround other than using a separate program to play back the video.

I have the same problem. I transfer HD programs from my Series 3 to my mac via TTG, and when I try to watch them they play as if they're being fast forwarded. Burning them to a dvd, however, is fine...but I don't want to do that.
Is this maybe a codec issue?

We're working on a number of issues related mostly to the Fall 2007 DVR update and they will be corrected in an updated to be available in the very near future.

I have a Series 3 Tivo and a Dual 2.5 G5 Powermac running 10.5 with an ATI X800.
I tried TiVoDecode Manager and encoded a 1080i program to Mpeg-4 (native). It played with very bad audio stuttering in VLC. It played ok in Movieplayer, but the picture was a little shaky the timecode was totally off. it showed that the 30 minute program was less than 5 minutes long.
Transferring using Tivo Transfer (TTG) worked, but viewing in Toast did not work properly (as I mentioned earlier). exporting the same file to ipod worked.

TiVoDecode Manager has other issues. The audio comes out super choppy. Regarding TTG I am having the same speed issues ... AND ... TTG seems to truncate some of my recordings. cant seem to transfer the entire recording of a couple of the movies I have rerecorded.

Im having the same problem with the 1.5-2x playback with 1080i recordings. I contacted Roxio support and their one line response was "Tivo Series 3 is unsupported"...unbelievable.

That information is incorrect, I'll follow up with the support folks to make sure they're all well aware of T2G on the Series3 and TiVo HD.
If you're a Popcorn 3 user, the fix is included in the Popcorn 3 beta. For Toast users, they'll receive it shortly with the 8.0.3 update.

Sorry for the excessively naive question, but here goes. We have a Series 3 tivo DVR, wireless network, Tivo 2 go wireless router and Mac G4 laptops. I am trying to accomplish 2 things- export to the laptop and possibly onto iphone and/or burn shows/movies. Is Toast or Popcorn required to do both, or only to burn? If I can export to Mac now, do I use a native application, a web download, or other. Again, sorry for the simplicity of the question.
