Media 11 got installed on my computer by misstake, which caused a conflict with roxio. I uninstalled both roxio and media 11 and reinstalled roxio. My sound card now work properly but the error message I get when trying to open roxio is: The application has requested to terminate it in an unususal way. Ask support team for help. So please help. I have been using the program for about 4 or 5 years now and love it. I WANT IT BACK!!!!

You may have to do a clean install and make sure all traces of EMC are removed and then try installing again, - read these instrucions in the Roxio KB

Also, make sure that not only is WMP11 removed but also Internet Explorer 7 if that ended up on your computer as well

Also, in case you missed the second one, there are 2 entries in add/remove programs for WMP 11 that need to come out. First the program, then the runtime update.
