I'm using EMC8. Can anyone tell me the quick way to convert .mp3 files to .wav files, so I can edit (amplify, eq, etc.)them?  I had been doing this with EZ CD Creator 5, using Sound Stream

Open "Sound Editor", add your file to the project, make your changes, and export to the format of your choice :)

How can I batch convert, ie., several files at one time, as in Sound Stream?

When in Sound Editor, add the files you want to convert---you'll see them added in the project view at the bottom left.  File/Export Track/Clips and you'll see only 1 file shown in the export window.  At the top of this window, put a dot in the 'use clips from the project' and all the clips will be shown in the export window. Click 'export'.
