I've got a MacBook with Jam 6.0.3 running on it. Every time I launch Jam, I get an error that says "Sound playback has been disabled due to a configuration incompatibility. Please set the audio output frequency to 44.1kHz in the Audio MIDI Setup utility, then reopen this application." (Upon opening Audio MIDI Setup utility, I do not even have the option of setting the output frequency. The input frequency is by default set to 44.1kHz.)

After selecting "OK", Jam does go ahead an open. I'm creating 5 min audio tracks for a teaching CD. The original audio was recorded in GarageBand, then Export to iTunes (AIFF), then dump into Jam. From there I usually make tracks that are 5 mins long so people get around without forwarding through 38 mins hoping to find the right spot (which is why I use Jam instead of just burning from iTunes). However, the next issue occurs regardless of whether I create tracks or not. When I go to burn the CD in Jam, I receive the following error, "Couldn't complete the last command because of a Mac OS Error. Result Code = -50."

I've not had problems before. I can't pinpoint when the error started occurring. Perhaps it started when I upgraded Jam from 6.0.1 to 6.0.3 or perhaps it occurred after one of my regular Mac Software updates. FYI, my current OS and QT Player versions are as follows:
  • OS 10.4.10
  • QT: 7.2.0

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have the same problem w/Jam 6.0.3 on my Duo Core Intel iMac running QT 7.3 although it runs fine on my Powerbook G4 running QT 7.3. I know this is an old thread, but have you had any response or fix it yourself advice?
