Several weeks ago, I installed Easy Media Creator 8 on a new PC. Everything seemed to work fine, but I have just now tried to add text to a photo. This is the first time I have tried this since installing.
Every time I try clicking Add or Edit Text from the Enhance menu in the sidebar or the menu bar, a blank dialog box entitled Special Effects displays. I was getting an error when I tried doing it from the menu bar, but I just tried it again so I could document it for you and it just displayed the blank dialog box.
I tried searching the Discussion Board, but I couldn't find anything applicable. Can anyone help?
Thanks!

I got the error clicking Add or Edit Text in the menu bar again. Here it is:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program: ...es\Roxio\Easy Media Creator 8\PhotoSuite\PhotoSuite8.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.
Hope this helps! I've searched the Roxio Knowledge Base and found nothing applicable there either.
Thanks!

Try updating both the video driver for your card/chip and Microsoft's DirectX 9c. Post back with your computer information and we'll be able to give you more information.
There are lots of post about that message and most are solved by video card/chip update. If that doesn't work, search the forum for that error message and you'll find lots of discussion.
