I can successful import portions of a DV tape, but once I click on Stop, the media import application freezes and I have to restart my computer to get EMC9 to work again.
Any suggestions?

Control Panel – Add/Remove Programs – Roxio Suite – Repair.
Reboot? Doesn't Ctrl-Alt-Delete bring up the Task Manager? You can end a hung Application with one click.
