Changing a display setting is a pretty simple Windows control and not something in that program.

Minimize all programs so you can see your screen background. Right click anywhere on your screen in an empty area. An option drop down box will open. Select "Properties". Look at the new window that opens and near the top are tabs. Select "settings". You will see the options to change both the resolution and the color. Your card is probably already a 16 bit card or chip so you don't have to worry about that. The specs you gave are minimums so higher color and higher resolution are acceptable.

Depending on your settings, you may have to reboot the computer to make the change or you will get a Window with a message about accepting the change or not. Accept the change. If you have an eyesight problem, you can change it back when you are not using the program.

I assume you are using Windows XP and not Vista, ME, Windows 98, or other like Linux or Tiger. BTW if you are using Vista, you may not be able to run that program. Get a refund. The box or the download should have stated Vista Compatible.

Now, why do you say you can't run the program? What problems are you seeing? Any error messages? What happens when you open the program? If it were simply a display problem, the program will open but you may not see any controls/text/ etc.

Post your computer specs if you are still having problems - at least the model and manufacturer of the computer.

Phil,

Not wishing to dent your enthusiasm, but if you have that little experience with computers will you be able to handle this software?

These program suites are called Easy this and that, but in truth they're only relatively easy and they're certainly not dead easy. You will have a LOT of study ahead of you if you persist with it. Luckily there are quite good help files and tutorials available in the program, and there's a PDF manual available from the Roxio site, which you should read as you try to use the programs.

In the meantime, you can change screen resolution by right-clicking on an open area of your desktop, then going to Properties, then Settings. In the resulting box you'll see adjustments for screen resolution and Color quality. That's what you need to adjust.

Regards,
Brendon
