I'm relatively new at Roxio but I get by since I'm not new to the industry. I did my research before purchasing ver9 and I've had to reinstall it several times for different errors. No other application gives me these probs. It is perplexing. I've researched the web and there appears to be numerous posts across the web regarding Roxio failures. When I come to this forum for answers, I see so much sarcasm on the part of staff and the senior users, I'm a bit turned off. Makes me wonder if I made the correct selection. I wish people here would be a bit more civil with the posts. If one doesn't have anything nice to say, it's often best to say nothing. Customers looking for help don't appreciate being treated like a dumb ass.
Just an observation.

Doing a search of your posts, you did get help on your questions on editing video, back in May. The software was running okay for your then. What problems are you having now?
Life is good!

Roxio has been running for a while with no major probs. No changes have been made to my PC and I've run virus, spyware and trojan protection. I run regular maintenance as well.
Prob - Upon launching Home, I get a dialog box asking for the Suite disk. I load the Suite disk and it says the app is already installed, go to Control Panel and run Repair which I did. No change. It's asking User Source "1". It says an installation package for the product cannot be found,It is looking for the "Roxio Easy Media Creator 9 Suite.msi". I havn't deleted the original install files and I can't find the solution on Roxio's forum or help files.

Extract the files from the original installation file using winzip or similar. Then when the repair asks for a certain file, browse to where you extracted the files to find the one it wants.

There should be a Browse button beside that. Insert the install disc and point it to the CD. If I remember correctly, that MSI is in the root of the CD.

I was unable to extrct the files from the original installation. I ran the .msi file from the Program disk and received a network error asking for a file I've never seen (I'm not on a network). So I did another Clean Install and followed all the steps as I have in the past. Now on Statrup, I get a VIsual C++ error - roxwatchtray9.exe. When I launch Videowave, I get another C++ videowave9.exe error. I didn't receive the errors on previous "clean installs".
I don't know where to go from here....

If you can't extract the files from the downloads with winzip or winrar, then your download is corrupt and you will need to get them again
If you have the CD, then make a folder on the hard drive and copy tghe files from that to the folder
If you have the CD, then make a folder on the hard drive and copy tghe files from that to the folder
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed
