Since installing Leopard on my Intel MacBook Pro I have not been able to transfer any files from my DVR, which was previously working fine.

I can select a program and the Active Transfers icon beings to spin, but the program never finishes downloading.

Looking at some of the posts here, it looks like this might be an issue with Leopard, but I can't find any confirmation of this.

I saw in another topic in this TivoToGo Forum that Roxio is aware of the issue and is working on a fix.

Roxio is also having a problem with TivoToGo that has nothing to do with Leopard -- it is because of the recent Tivo update. They are aware of this issue as well and are "working on a fix". I have been waiting for weeks for a fix for the TivoToGo issue that is not Leopard related.

I did not upgrade my desktop iMac to Leopard because of this problem because there I can at least transfer shows from my Tivo to my iMac. On my laptop, where I have installed Leopard, I cannot even get Toast or Popcorn to load!

I assume you're using Toast 8?

The TiVo Transfer application in Popcorn 3 is slightly newer and should work well with the Fall '07 DVR update. Toast users will receive the updated transfer application soon as part of Toast 8.0.3.

I have the beta version of Tivo Transfer 1.1.1 from the Popcorn 3 beta release which is supposed to have fixes. It still doesn't work, it starts a transfer and then just stops a couple of seconds after.

I've come to the conclusion that if Tivo or Roxio weren't so worried about copy rights and what you can and cannot transfer the software would work. Come on, all we're trying to do is transfer a file from one drive to the other. How hard can that be...???

Just for the record, I've used just about every Tivo Transfer software from all the Windows versions to all the mac versions. NONE of them have ever worked right, all my transfers have always stopped after a few seconds. In all the years I've been a Tivo user, I must have gotten a dozon files to transfer for me right and what makes it worse it has been with TivoDecode Manager. A software that I didn't even pay for.

Tivo / Roxio... I don't even care anymore what or who is causing the problem... Just let me transfer a file from one machine to the other... that's all, that simple.... a successful transfer. Is that too much to ask for considering I paid $100....????

No, actually I'm using Popcorn 3.

It worked three times, and now it's nada.

Very frustrating.

Also frustrating is that Roxio expects one to cough up money to speak to tech support. That's a pretty clear indication that something is rotten in Denmark, and they are quite aware that these little issues are all pervasive in their products.

My Tivo Transfer still works after installation of Leopard but when I try to play the transfered files (created pre-Leopard) it says that I need a registered copy of Toast Titanium 8. Yet when I hit the "Toast It" button it readily calls up my registered version of Toast 8. Tried to reinstall Toast 8 but Tivo Transfer still won't recognize it.

Both disk images that I have with Toast 8 (version 8 and version 8.0.1) do not have the Tivo Transfer program on them, which is strange... isn't it? In any case, I appear to be having problems with the Roxio Tivo Player so I'll have to do more digging to see if it came as a separate download.

As if installing Leopard isn't keeping me busy this weekend, I also just hooked up a Tivo Series 3, which Tivo Transfer recognized immediately, even though I don't think it is officially supposed to until later in the month.

Re-running Toast setup assistant in the HELP menu solved my problems.

The best instructions I've seen for using TivoToGo on a Mac are on Roxio's support site.

I have Toast Titanium 8.0.1. TiVo Transfer 1.0.1 came bundled with it.

I have a TiVo Series 3 with the Fall Update that supports TivoToGo.

I had to reboot the TiVo to see it in TiVo Transfer.

I tried sending a one-minute recording. It was blank. Maybe it was too short.

Then I transfered a 30-minute recording. It took 30 minutes to transfer through a marginal wireless connection. Toast made a DVD+R in my MacBook Pro built-in optical drive. The disc played beautifully in my DVD player.

So far, so good.

i rebooted the laptop several times.

i rebooted tivo several times.

i re-ran the setup assistant and re-checkboxed 'enable tivo transfers'.

i quit and reopened tivo transfers several times.

i triple checked my media access key.

tivo transfer wont even list my series 3 tivo (w/ latest software updates 9.2 something)
