When I try to use DLA to copy a data file to cd, my system hangs and I later get the blue screen with error message regarding ssrtln.sys. (using Windows XP) I searched your forum for ssrtln.sys and found a closed thread stating that there was a fix. How can I get the fix?
Thanks.

If the idea is to back-up the file for future reference, I'd suggest using either the Data Disc function within RecordNow, or the built-in WinXP burning ability.
Packet-Writing - where the disc is formatted before use - is NOT a good long-term backup.
This is true no matter which brand (Sonic's DLA, Roxio's Drag2Disc, Nero's InCD, etc), altho it is true that different brands are not compatible, and sometimes different Versions of the same brand are incompatible.
These two threads are a couple of examples of what happens when you use Packet-Writing:

Both happen to be Sonic, but any other Packet-Writing program, including Drag2Disc, will do as well.
However, I managed to learn the hard way, and you can too if you want. Using RW media (which I did) will reduce the time needed for the disaster, altho the RW disc CAN be completely erased and reused for something else - say, as a test disc when you're checking if something is going to work.

As was noted by Kevin J (former Sonic/Roxio employee) in the final post in the closed thread you found, you have 2 options:Thanks.
1. Uninstall DLA
2. Click on the Support link in the upper right and contact Technical Support
