I am using Easy Media Creator 9, on a windows XP computer.
Whenever I try to do a video output (file, output as - either video or email or anything) it hangs up and won't do anything. The progress never gets past zero.
I enter all the information and click on the 'create video file' button and that is where it all stops.
Any ideas?
thanks

It would be helpful to list your computer specs as a start.
Make sure you video drivers are up to date and you have the latest version of DirectX. Also, it always help to make sure you have your hard drive defragged.

Beerman pointed you in the correct direction. 0% progress when outputting is a video card driver issue. You need to update the driver (or uninstall/reinstall it if it is the most current). Get the driver from the card type site, like Nvidia and ATI, and be sure to follow their installation instructions of uninstall current, reboot, install new one..

Well, I downloaded and installed all updates on the video driver. I degfragmented the hard drive and downloaded the latest edition of DirectX and still I get nothing.
How do I even know what type of video driver I have in order to

To get info on your graphics driver:
click Start then run
in the pop-up that opens type dxdiag then Ok
In the next window that opens select Display.
You could also run the diagnostic tests.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I followed your instructions to find the info on my graphics driver. Then I went to the NVIDIA website. I found a new update that was not available on the Dell website. I downloaded that and it corrected the issue. Working great now!
Thanks again. It is so great of you guys to share your knowledge with the rest of us.
