angry.gif Hi

I am bought Roxio Easy Media Creator 9 for $70 from Amazon 2 weeks before.

I have reinstalled twice. every time when it starts it hangs up. Luckily if it is up
while using Video wave 9 afer 99% it hangs.

On the progress screen
File name gave as Production 1.mp4 -> Converting videos for my ipod
Total duration :0 hrs 20 min 19 sec, 7 frames
Completed  :0 hrs 20 min 19 sec, 7 frames - 99%
Avaliable space on G:\ 151.78 GB
File Size 36 bytes.

That is it never ends it is on loop.

Please can any one have solution for this.

I never had any such worst software before and which hangs often.  angry.gif  waste of time and money.  mad.gif

You don't say what your graphics card is - have yyou tried updating the drivers?

That's the usual cause of the hangup on rendering

I think that is an onboard graphics chipset that uses the 894GM controller and it's just not man enough to handle the graphics requirements of EMC.

I'd recommend you fit a dedicated graphics card (presuming you have a desktop/tower computer). Any of the mid range nVidia or ATI cards will do the job

You could try using software rendering but the best solution (if you have a desktop computer and not a laptop) is to buy a mid-range graphics card and install that instead of using the onboard graphics

btw - the name is Daithi (like it says in big letters down the page) wink.gif

When you start to remder, go to tools, options and choose software rendering and see if that works

I am having almost the same challenge. I'm trying to split a 30 min video into parts so I can upload to YouTube. Total duration is 30 min, 16 sec, 26 frames. Completed is 30 min, 16 sec, 25 frames - 99%.

I split this video into 8 parts. The original file is an mpeg. I have tried just rendering one part. I have tried rendering all parts together. The original file is on an external drive...does that matter?

The first pc I tried this on was my older pc with an FX5200 in it. Loaded EMC9 on my new pc with an 8800 640 Mb card...same problem. Drivers are up to date. Does anyone know what is up? Is there another program I can use to do what I want to do? This has been a huge waste of a night. :-)

No idea what you are even talking about!!!

Try starting a new thread instead of grabbing onto one that is a month old. Try to clearly state what your problem is…
