I bought roxio easy media creator 9 in Feb. Recently I was going to reinstall it, and the disc cracked when I was taking it out of the box. (I have never had somthing like this happen). I bought the disc online from a roxio reseller, but it was months ago and they likely won't replace it (I have sent them an inquiry). Roxio says I need to buy it again. Any suggestions?

Buy a new one....if you broke it, I cant see how you can expect Roxio to provide you with a new one.

You should have returned it to the shop immediately - a few months down the line is a shade too late in anyone's book
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

What I don't understand is why Roxio told you to buy it again. It seems if you have the CD Key, you should be able to download the trial version and then enter your Serial Number (CD Key)
From Roxio help:
If you have misplaced your CD-Key/Serial number, first please try to locate it by following the instructions below:
The CD-Key for boxed Roxio products purchased in a store (retail/online) is located on the back cover of the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM jewel case, or on a sticker on the CD/DVD sleeve.
The CD-Key for a Roxio product purchased and downloaded directly from our eStore is located in your order confirmation e-mail.
If you do not have your order confirmation e-mail, you can look up your CD-Key in your order at Digital River's Customer Service site:
http://www.findmyorder.com
You will be required to provide either your order number and password OR your e-mail address and the last 5 digits of the credit card you used.
If you registered your Roxio product online, the CD-Key can be found in your Roxio account. Click here to log into your Roxio account.
Is my logic wrong?

Your logic is totally wrong in that the trial versiom is NOT just a time-bombed version of the full one - it's cut-down as well with components missing and the key won't work with it
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

I see I could not be just wrong, I have been upgraded to Totally wrong. Anyway according to Roxio support, I found this for the OP
Replacement Disk
Retail Purchased Software
If you are reading this prior to needing a replacement disc, Roxio encourages you to make a backup of your software. Instructions on creating a backup can be found clicking here.
If you have received an incomplete or damaged package from an authorized Roxio reseller, please return the package to the vendor for an exchange.
If you have lost or damaged your original Roxio program disc, Roxio is unable to provide you with a replacement disc.

I always make a backup CD/DVD for every software product I buy, and try to avoid using the orginal. The $0.20 or so I spend is worth it.
