Hi,

I have just downloaded Roxio Buzz and it can't be installed because I already have the .Net Framework 3.0 installed. Any suggestions on how I can fix this problem? Screenshots of errors are posted below.

Note: I am using a developer machine (Orcas Beta 2 is installed on my system).

Hey. We will have to see if we can reproduce this. It sounds like a problem with the .Net 3.0 installer component, which is not really in our control, but we'll check it out.

Stay tuned.

Hi Aerolight, apologies for the late reply. It appears you may have .NET 3.5 beta installed. In this situation, the .NET 3.0 installer included in the Buzz installer pops up the error you are seeing. To fix this, first uninstall .NET 3.5 beta and .NET 3.0 service pack 1 then restart the Buzz installer.

I have the exact same problem, but certainly NO BETA! I have the official 3.0 with service pack 1!
unsure.gif When can you release an update for buzz that will work with service pack 1.0? unsure.gif

We are planning on updating the retail and free versions of Buzz before the end of the month. In the meantime, if you uninstall .NET then install Buzz it should work. Sorry for the inconvenience. Microsoft threw us for a loop there - dealing with these .NET packs has taken a lot of work - we don't want to force people to go looking for the components so we try to install them using Microsoft's guidelines.

I've had the same problems.  I've been advised not to uninstall the newer version of .NET because MS Visual C++ Express Edition requires the newer version.
