Just got my Series 3 HD and set it up on the weekend.
Recorded some shows and tried to transfer them using TivoToGo via auto transfers.

It worked fine with transfering several shows over night.

However, I saw that several tivo files were corrupted, being either double the size they should be or much smaller.

Ok, no biggy I thought, something screwed up, just try it again.

Now I got several shows in the Active Transfer section and all of them are waiting ... none has started in the last 3 hours.

When I call the tivo via the browser and try to download there it tells me that the server is busy and there are to many transfers already, but I don't transfer anything at the moment.

Any ideas ?
Thanks,
Volker

ok, looks like a simple Tivo restart solved that issue.
I started a transfer via the webbroser and it works. I will try it later again with TivoToGo s well and see if it will work.

I'm really eager to see what you learn because I'm in the same boat.  I just downloaded the latest upgrade to Toast 8 and it's still just waiting.  I'm very interested to know what may have happened because I've pulled two show off of the TV through Tivo into Toast and ultimately into my iPod with zero problems.  No, like what seems like a growing amount of people - nothing.  Just waiting....

I had the same problem on a Series 2 and a Tivo restart was the only thing that worked for me also.

Just to throw in my 2 cents..

Restart on my tivos is only temporary.  After some time it breaks again.  Last time for restart and it did not solve the problem

Transfers do not start - just waiting.  I have tried most if not all suggestions on forums.  Restarting Tivo has no positive effects.

Add me to this list.  My program worked smoothly for a week and now it has decided to "wait" when I tell it to transfer.  I have tried resetting the dvr and the program.  Any Roxio people out there have any help to offer?

I had the same problem and found restarting was only a temporary fix initially, then ultimately even that wouldn't fix it.  After looking for a solution for 6 months, I finally gave up and bought a new Tivo and it worked great for about a month.  Just yesterday, 27 Jan 08, the new one started doing the same thing.  COME ON ROXIO/TIVO, FIX YOUR #$^@ PRODUCTS!!!!!!

I guess I'm another member of this club -- similar experience...transfers worked fine for about 2 months, but now I just get the endless "Waiting" message.  I'm going to try some of the things suggested on these fora, but I don't have much hope for a long term fix.  I'd love to hear from the Roxio folks regarding this obviously widespread problem and plans to address it.

Thanks!

Did TIVO do another software drop??? This is like last time... all I get is a waiting message

Had the same problem. Got the message "waiting". Restarted TIVO and now the transfer is in progress. Hopefully, this fixed the problem.

I'm having the same problem.  Everything has been working well for quite awhile and now each transfer 'waits' until I restart TIVO.  Not at all convenient!

Do you just have one Tivo on your network, or more than one ? I had problems with multiple Tivos. Now that I have disconnected all but the Series 3, I rarely have problems, and they can be fixed by just quitting the application and restarting.

I have one Tivo - Series 2.  Now the TivoToGo program crashes as soon as my list of saved TiVo programs is populated.  I've been using EyeTV recently with great success but the TiVo situation is most baffling as it used to work so well.

So I'm not the only one waiting without starting ever happening.

Did the TiVo restart- no good; still waiting...

So what is going on here? You only get to do a few transfers, and the software breaks? This is not what I'm used to in Roxio products... glare.gif

Is anyone from Roxio reading these posts?

I'm also having this problem. I am going to open a ticket with Roxio. I suggest everyone having this problem do so. Looking over past problems discussed that seems to get more attention than just posting here.

Update 3/11: Still no reply from Roxio on the ticket I opened for this issue.

This just started happening to me, but the restart of the TiVo did the trick for me.

After my first success transferring shows from my Tivo I also ran into the crazy "waiting..." problem.  Nothing I did on the Mac fixed it however restarting the Tivo got things going again.  Hopefully it sticks for a while.

After restarting TiVo, my transfer seemed to work OK. But only for a short time. I noticed that the inability to start another transfer was possibly related to TiVo starting another scheduled program save, or perhaps an automatic deletion in preparation for that save. I'll try to find a window in which none of that activity is likely to see if the transfers work OK through it. Meanwhile, it would behoove Roxio to look further into this obviously common problem.
