Happy Veterans Day to all.

Many thanks to cd, jeanrosenfeld, Paul and  BEERMAN whom contributed to my query about cleaning:

C:\DOCUME~1\HP_ADM~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\

Excellent advice and heartfelt appreciation to all the GURU'S.

The most profound information I received was from Roxio Tech Support.

Roxio Tech Support answered my query as it was Originally written in the Open Forum addressing backing up my Personal Home Movie DVD Archive.

Here's the advice Roxio Tech Support gave me in the event someone else encounter the same problem as I.

A Roxio Agent has responded to your ticket!

Thank you for contacting Roxio Technical Support

You need to delete your temporary files.

1. Close all programs on your computer.

2. Click on your Start menu and choose run.

3. Type in temp and click on ok.

4. Delete all the files in the folder that opens up. The system might not let you delete some of them, that is fine, just delete the ones you can.

5. Click on your Start menu and choose run.

6. Type in %temp% and click on ok.

7. Delete all the files in the folder that opens up. The system might not let you delete some of them, that is fine, just delete the ones you can.

Using this method, I was able to recover 63 GB of Hard Disk space in 20 minutes.
The five (5) movies that depleted my hard drive space was still in:

C:\DOCUME~1\HP_ADM~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\

This is the advice I needed, this is the advice I was searching.

Again, many thanks to the Gurus for their excellent advice, tips and tricks.

You have armed my arsenal.

An aside, %temp% is where I found 47 GB of my Home Movie Archive I was backing
up with other temp files that were residing there since I bought my computer May / 05.

Before deleting temp files and %temp% files I created another folder and moved all files to the new folder and backed them up on disk with Roxio just in case I deleted files I needed to run the computer. The 47 GB of Home Movie files I discarded.

Best

Thanks for posting that info.  I'm pretty sure what I told you would have cleaned up almost as much junk as well.  There's usually  more than one way to do things in Windows.
You might also benefit from a registry cleaner now and again and a good one many use is Regseeker. Cleaning out temps weekly as well as defragging and registry cleans will keep your pc running faster and smoother.
Thanks for letting us know what they suggested.
