I connected a Canon XL dv video camera to my G4 Mac (OS 10.3.9) via firewire and opened Toast 6.1.1 and hit import. The screen on the Toast window showed the video playing but just before the import was finished the thing quit and displayed a "report to Apple" window. I tried a second time, this time choosing 45 minutes as the length and the same thing happened at the end. Any thoughts? Thank you.

I haven't used Plug and burn much but it worked okay for me. The crash apparently is happening when Toast tries to read the captured video for display in the Toast window. I don't know what to suggest other than to use the freeware Vidi to capture the video from the camcorder and add that to the Toast Video window rather than use plug and burn.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!
