Explain please.   What program? What function?  What do you mean by Sound Points.  Please reply.
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

Laptop - Windows 7 Home

I had the same thing happen. Only way I found to remedy it was to use audo wave to edit the actual sound file to the levels you want then re-import. The only sound point mine kept losing was the very last node on a fade-out on a song that wasn't really the end of the actual song.....I used soundwave to fade it where I needed and the sound point was then irrelevant.

Program ...EMC8  MyDVD.....

Function ...On the audio track you can produce little green dots putting your cursor on the track line and double clicking, then dragging the subsequent section of the line up or down to decrease or increase or fade the volume at any point along the track.

Does this happen if you use VideoWave?  Sometimes they are pretty much the same but at other times they give different results. Save the file in VideoWave and then reopen it, see if the changes you made in the audio envelop has stuck or has been lost.

Actually, many experienced people believe the best way of creating a project is through VideoWave and then importing the "movies" into MyDVD and burning from there.  I find the editing and options in VideoWave easier.  Others disgree entirely.  If this solves your problem, then .... if not, post back and describe what happens.

This same thing happens to me.  Very annoying

In Videowave all the end points will be reset.  This happens to my audio track and my sfx track.  When I fix them and save, then try and burn in MyDVD same problem.  Yes I could go and edit the tracks, and add in manual fade outs,  but what a pain.  It does look like a glaring software bug... Roxio, when can we see a fix??  Thanks!

Just an added point... I get this problem and I also get the audio dropout problem during editing that has also been reported here.  So between the two problems, it is very frustrating making videos with this software.  I did my research before buying this package that said this is one of the best on the market... I would hate to see some of the other products out there.

Steve have you tried this in any of your vid projects?

Ok found a workaround of this bug....   click on the audio clip then click on the speaker icon and it will give you a fade in/out option.  check the fade out option and it gives you a little bit longer fade out.... one that you can manipulate a little better without it resetting on you.

Roxio needs to fix this though... it shouldn't reset everytime you close the project.  I tried to submit a ticket and they just came back and said I needed to call them (and spend $$)  I don't think so.
