just bought recordnow9 it will play cds but wont play recorded music from microphone. It shows it is playing but get no sound from speakers

Are you sure you have recorded anything?  Try recording something through the mic on Windows sound recorder program (Accessories folder)and play it back.  If you didn't record anything, you need to set up your sound card to record from the Mic.  If you need assistance on setting up the sound card, let me know.  I haven't done it in a while, but seem to remember recording from the mic took some doing.
