I just burned my first DVD using MyDVD9.  While I can view the movie on my computer using Windows Media Player and Cyberlink PowerDVD, it won't play on my DVD player.

Any suggestions?   unsure.gif

Not all players like all brands of media nor do all players like home made DVD's.  First, try using a brand of DVD that the manufacturer suggests.  Some feel burning to an image file instead of Direct to Disc is more apt to be successful.  And, some have had luck burning at a slower speed.

Thanks for the feedback.  I burned another DVD uwing PowerProducer on the same media and it worked fine.  If I remember correctly that was 12X and the latest was 16X.  I'll try the slower speed.

cool.gif I'm new to the game of burning movies to a DVD-R, using EMC 10. I haven't had any luck. I can watch the movie on media player but not a DVD player. Anything  would be helpful. I'm a first time user of any kind of software. Thankz Mr. Peterson

You have not given much information on what you have done so far. What EMC 9 program did you use to burn the DVD?
Have you read the Tips & Tricks forum at the top of the EMC 9 board? It has a lot of "tips & tricks" on creating a DVD.

Burn at 6X or at a maximum of 8X.  It seems that some DVD players don't like media that was burned at high speed.
