On "MyDVD 9" When I go to burn the movie I get an error message like... "A problem has caused VideoWave 9 to stop working." (not exact words, but the error window didn't let me copy the text.)
Anyways, EMC 9 came with my HP Pavilion m8020n and I have called their support and they said it was the software and to ask them (meaning Roxio).

First of all, HP is supposed to support the OEM version that comes with their computer - it's a modified version made for them. It sounds as if HP TS is indulging in a spot of buck-passing rather than state the solution
The problem is in your graphics system - your graphics is an onboard nVidia 7350LE 'Turbocache' which just isn't good enough for video working on DVD and you would really need to replace that with a dedicated video card

If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

i've been having the same problem. it was working fine the last time i used it a couple of weeks ago, now it's giving an error message after about 5% of rendering preview. i have another legally purchased copy on another computer and it's doing the same thing.

If it worked before and has since stopped - step back and think what you may have installed on the computer since the last time it worked.
Also, check for updates to your graphics system (video drivers) as that's a known cause of render failing after a period of time

My problem seems to be fixed, I uninstalled EMC9 (HP's OMC) and installed EMC10 that I just bought for $70 at BJ's Wholesale Club.
If I have any more trouble I'll post in the v10 board.
