I have been using Videowave 7.0 & 7.5 as part of EasyMedia Creator for several years now and have recently moved to version 8.0. I like the changes introduced, however I noticed that a number of the video effects that I regularly used are not longer available. The animated "film strip" and the animated "video scratches" are no longer available.

I use these regularly as part of my DVD backgrounds for my DVD productions. Is there any way to get these back or copy them from 7.0 or 7.5? Please advise, thanks.

As long as the files are MPG, there should be no problem using them in V8.

Thanks. Where are the "video effects" files located in version 7.5 (so I can make them accessible to 8.0)?

Check in these directories:
For MPG:
C:\program files\roxio\easy media creator 7\content\video

Transition that can be used in V8 as overlays (AVI files)
C:\program files\roxio\easy media creator 7\content\transitions

Some stills and AVIs for overlays in V8
C:\program files\roxio\easy media creator 7\content\overlays

More stills for menu backgrounds or background in video
C:\program files\roxio\easy media creator 7\content\images

Need audio?
C:\program files\roxio\easy media creator 7\content\audio

How many files you have in these directories depends on if you have the Content disc installed. Any still image or video file can be used as a menu background or within your movie. Granted some of these were specifically designed as overlays, frames , etc. So use at your own disgression.
