Try burning to an image file (.iso) instead of directly to disc. Then burn to a DVD, using Disc Copier.
If it still doesn't start encoding, try Software render.
BTW, how long did you wait for it to start encoding? It takes awhile.

I tried it both ways (ISO and Burn without ISO). Waited 20-30 minutes and longer. Program froze every time. Had to use Task Manager to end it.
How do you do software render?

How do you do software render?
In MyDVD, click on Tools/Options, and click in the circle to the left of Software.

Tried software render - same result. Program never starts encoding and finally has to be stopped by END TASK. When the error message to Microsoft comes up, it shows the following files involved:
C:\DOCUME~1\COMPAQ~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERf956.dir00\VideoWave9.exe.mdmp
C:\DOCUME~1\COMPAQ~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERf956.dir00\appcompat.txt
Does this indicate anything to anyone?

Also, did you, as Terry suggested, update your graphics drivers?

Problem solved with Video driver update. I have Nvidia GeForce 6150LE and the update of the driver was what did it. Thanks, guys.
