Initiated Tivo Transfer, set preferences to transfer to external Firewire Drive and it still put it on the main drive. This is not good as it eats up needed space. Clicked on movie and Toast player popped up and played movie. Burned files to DVD with "drag and drop". Put dvd in set top player and files were not recognized by player.
I have used DVD Studio Pro or Toast 7 for many years to burn movies I've edited and this is a major disappointment for me. Toast has always worked when others fail. Who wants anything in "Tivo Format" if/when it doesn't play in a dvd player. I don't won't to take my computer with me to just play these files. This is the first purchase from Roxio(EVER) when it just didn't simply work. I wouldn't have purchased Toast 8 yet if I knew these problems existed.
I hope that these issues will be resolved by Roxio. I use a Mac, running OS 10.4.11.
