I removed that picture and the transition following it and then when I sent it to My DVD it was over a minute too long. How could that happen??????

I guess I don't understand what you were doing. If you made the slide show in Video Wave, you should edit it there and then go to My DVD, editing in My DVD is not necessarily the best practice.

Also, did you make an iso file and then copy that iso to a DVD? That's the best and most consistant way of making multiple copies of a slide show.

When you talk about having the disc filled, are you talking about MB of information or of time? You can put only one hour of video on a single sided DVD; up to two hours at somewhat lesser resolution.

You cannot go over 2 hours regardless.

How do I know how much time I have left in Videowave? Sometimes I send it to my DVD and then have to go back to Videowave and remove some pictures.

How does it happen? Not sure, don't know but you are going to have to remove another for it to fit.

No one knows. Burn it to an image file, then to a DVD using Disc Copier.

Have you cleared the proxy files lately? Sometimes these interfere with the proper operation of Videowave?myDVD

Also, I have seen where VideoWave adjusts the duration of transitions slightly when I added or removed a slide from a project. Did you define the duration of transitions? Instead of removing a picture, try shortening one or more transition durations.

I had about 10 audio tracks and over 800 pictures. I just can not understand how removing one picture could make it go so far over what it originally was. I just put the transitions as random and I do fit audio and video. It fit until I removed one pic. Then it was minutes over the limit where before it was

I don't understand it either. However, remember that Videowave computes the duration of transitions. I don't what their formula is. Since your show is fit to audio, the durations of slides and transitions must be computed. As an experiment, open a VideoWave production, select a slide or transition and manually enter a duration time at the top of the preview pane. You will likely see a number slightly different as calculated by VideoWave. For example, if you enter 5, it will likely become 5.01. While .01 seconds is trivial, consider that you are doing this for 800 pictures and 800 transitions. That could turn out to be 16 seconds.

Take a look at the duration of a slide and a transition in the original production and then in the production with the slide removed. There might be a slight difference (even a slight increase) in the duration, particularly with fit to audio on. I don't know for sure what the result might be, but as another experiment, trim one of the audio tracks by a few seconds to see what occurs.

The line at the bottom of MyDVD is disc space. Did you try the experiments I suggested?

I would highly suggest you alter some of the transition times yourself. This will allow you to fit the pictures you want in as well as the music. I have made several hugs projects...over 900+ photos. Infact that is the ONLY reason I use this program. I HATE it for video editing because it NEVER works right for me, but montages work great. Just be careful to backup throughout the process bec ause I have had it crash numerous times when making big projects. I find my own transitions and time length work the best.
