Suddenly, my version of Toast (6) refuses to shut down.
It also won't provide a screen for burning discs. Like its locked in a half-awake state.
It won't allow me to force quit, run the battery out on my mac to close it down, or
shut down my computer. I can't even delete the Toast software from my computer
to solve the problem. This is more serious than Toast just not working because it affects
my entire computer's health.
Thanks!
Closing toast

Try trashing the Toast plist and prefs files in your User>Library>Preferences folder. Also, shut down you Mac, wait a few minutes and restart. I'm just guessing that one of these might fix this odd behavior. At least they won't do any harm.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

tsantee,
thanks for your fast reply.
I ended up pulling the battery out of my mac which forced it to shut down (after I'd closed
all other applications). When I restarted it, toast was finally closed. Haven't had the problem
since.
By the way, the problem arose when I tried to drag a folder into the Toast icon on my dock
when the program had not yet been opened.
This has never happened when I first open Toast and then drag a folder in.
Thanks again.
