media creator 9 came installed on our new Vista based PC. Want to convert audio CD track to MP3 files for loading onto MP3 players but can't seem to find a way to do this. Used to have this function with creator 6 on the old XP PC. Is this conversion feature not included in creator 9? If not, what is needed?
I've a ticket submitted to Roxio support but not getting a response for a few days now.
thanks to anyone who can help.

You can do this a number a ways. Perhaps the easiest way is Music Disc Creator. Load you cd, let MDC read the disc and right click the files in the window and choose Export. You can export to any format you want.

Paul,
Thanks for the reply but still can't get this to work. Not sure what Media Disc Creator is since I don't find it on the PC. Also, looks like the new PC did not come with full creator 9, but with Creator DE, ver.9.
Unless this adds any clues, seems like I was hoodwinked to a substandard version and will have to upgrade the Roxio s/w.
regards,

Paul said Music Disc Creator not Media Disc Creator.

If EMC 9 came with your PC then it is most likely an OEM version and has limited features. The DE usually means its a Dell version and Dell supplies it free with their setup

You weren't hoodwinked. You didn't pay for the software. wink.gif
