My drive keeps Ejecting new blank disk

Hi guys and gals i just instaled a new lite-on dvd burner and i was trying to copy a data disc using disc copier but every time i the press the button to start copping the program the tray ejects and it ask me to put a new blank dvd i am burning at 2.4 and using verbatium dvd-r any help on this issue would be appreciated

Got to ask what burner do you have? Does it burn -R discs? Did you format the disc? Were you ever able to copy discs? Perhaps you burner is a problem and due for a firmware update, a good cleaning (dry air to blow it out), or a replacement. Post the burner ID here.

Something just struck me there - isn't 2.4x a default RW value?
You wouldn't by any chance have 'formatted' the disc before using it would you?
