"destination Drive Doesn't Have Enought Space" To Dvd-r And +r

i can burn to cd-rw cd-r dvd-rw dvd+rw and to hard drive, but can't seem to burn to dvd-r and +r.

i have:
P4 3ghz 800mhz bus
1gb ram
250gb hard drive

What brand is your burner?  Do you have the latest firmware?

haven't updated my firmware yet good idea

Please don't make everyone guess.

Is there an error message when you try to burn? Does it do anything at all? Does it catch on fire? What are you trying to burn? How did you create it?
