I just did a reinstall of 7.5 and it's update. During the install I chose NOT to install DTD. I put the red X in the box for DTD. After the install and updates were complete, I opened the Roxio Easy Media Creator Home Control Panel and selected Drag to Disc and it opened and it worked.

I tried Modify Twice and it was still there. When I tried Modify for the second time the red X was already in the box. I tried Repair and that did not remove it. Is there anything else I can do short of another un-install/reinstall?

You should find that it has a separate entry in the Control Panel > Add/Remove software box, and can be uninstalled there.

I'm not working with my EMC7.5 machine at the moment, but please call back if you have problems and I'll go fire it up to help you.

Thanks for the reply.

There is no entry for Drag-to-Disc. The only entries are Roxio Easy Media Creator 7 and Display Name.

If you went through Add/Remove Programs, and used the Modify option, put an X for Drag to Disc, meaning this program will not be installed to the disc, then hit continue, or ok, then it should be gone, after a reboot.

If it is not, then you may have another version of Drag to Disc on your computer.

If memory serves.....

I think that the downloaded version of EMC 7.5 does not allow you to uninstall drag to disk.

You can, however, prevent it from loading by going to Start/ Run and type msconfig . Then under the Startup tab, uncheck DrgToDsk.

I did have to reinstall ver. 7 first. My copy of 7.5 is an Upgrade disc mailed to me by Roxio. When I installed 7, I put an X next to DTD and Napster, but I did not check for DTD before the install of 7.5.

I have the Upgrade version mailed to me by Roxio not the download.

I used CodeStuff Starter to remove the entry from Startup. It will not load now.
