Why would a company sell a product and then refuse to support it unless you pay them $$$$? I've had the product ~30 days!
I am traveling so I don't have my original cd with me. I filled out a ticket form and found out close means close out the ticket not close the window, that was 12/24/07, but didn't expect a reply til the 26th. I filled out a second ticket but have had no response.
When Norton took three days to respond I solved the problem by deleting Norton and going with AVG. Norton will never sell me or my friends or family another product.
My solution to Roxio was to download CloneDVD and use it. It works!
The reason I'm so upset is my son leaves for Afghanistan soon- his 3rd combat mission. I wanted to backup some DVDs for him and couldn't.
BTW I have managed a tech support group in the past so I do have high standards but Roxio doesn't even come close. It's non-existent
Roxio will come off my computer when I get home and will never hear a good word from me.
You don't need to respond to this message. I've solved the problem by using another product and am venting my anger. I will not be returning to this forum or Roxio, they don't support their products.
Hopefully I've saved someone else from buying a Roxio product.

Roxio support is non-existent I demand Instant Gratification. Right Now!

We appreciate your son's service to his country!
I'll bet he volunteered to go overseas. I think I know why…
Oh and it sounds like what you doing might be illegal. If it was copyrighted media it is illegal.

Gee I didn't know that. Why would you assume I am making illegal copies? Would Roxio make a product that makes illegal copies? I haven't tried that function yet. That comment is insulting.
What is a digital guru? Someone who policies digital media looking for pirates.
To put you at ease I wanted to burn copies of my grandkids to a DVD and then copy it.
MY son is career Army. Enlisted as an Airborne MP, deployed to Somalia, they went back to college and is now an Officer.
For others who have a problem with TS. Find the live chat and forget the trouble ticket. Roxio won't respond or has so many problems they can't. The response I got, I don't want to try while traveling. Will wait til I get home.
Sorry about the negativity but this experience has really soured me on Roxio and sent my blood pressure shy-high.
Why do companies today feel they don't need to support their products?
