Verification setting 101

I have been advised to set my Toast 6 so I can see whether what's (ostensibly) been burned actually was...Like; Verified.  
How do  I do that?
The word "verify" or "verification" doesn't seem to appear in all the Toast Help lists.

In the Recorder Settings window click the Advanced tab and put a check mark next to Verify Data.
