Clean and reinstall did not work

Man am i frustrated,,,,,,,,have had a repeat problem with the Roxio software,,,,,,,,,,,

once installed runs at 100% CPU and then just dies

so i cleaned as per the directions posted bu Roxio

reinstalled software and gives me an error and tell me to contact staff.....but i cant ...no phone numbers

what do i do ???????????

PC is a Dell Dimension C521
Windows Xp SP2

What was the error you got when you reinstalled?  Do you have any other similar software installed that came with the system?  Dells usually come with a version of Roxio presinstalled and if you installed the retail version afterwards, you may have problems.  Please post back with more info.

Download a free program called Windows Install Clean Up. The open it and remove any programs named Roxio. Then try reinstalling the program. Should work  then.

That is a pretty brisk solution when we don't even really know any details of the problem yet… There is a full Clean Install proceedure that might be indicated but...

I think it might be better to wait for the OP to respond.
